Suiting up for its ninth year, Vancouver Craft Beer Week has grown from “the little brewfest that could” into one of Western Canada’s most anticipated culinary celebrations! We love that it straddles the line between “this is a serious event for the hop-obsessed” and “hey, let’s try all of these beers and listen to some cool bands.”
Running form May 25 – June 3 (yes, that’s more than a week), Vancouver Craft Beer Week includes so much more than just chugging a few brewskis. It starts with the “East Van Crusher” kickoff party and signs off with the VCBW Festival at the PNE, but in-between, you’ll find beer-filled celebrations around the city – from brewery collaborations to brewmaster dinners, tasting events to quiz nights. More details around events will be announced on the festival’s site soon.
The culmination of Vancouver Craft Beer Week’s activities is the two-day festival at the Pacific National Exhibition grounds on June 2 and 3. There will be over 100 breweries represented, and 300 different beers and ciders to sample, but along with what’s in your glass, there are bands, buskers and DJs on multiple stages, and a special games area as well.
