The Burrard is your perfect city basecamp. A converted Vancouver motor hotel from 1956, it exudes character from every joist, railing and sightline. And with extras like free WiFi, Nespresso machines in all 72 rooms, and our insider city guide, you’ll stay inspired here, every time.
Rooms at Burrard are perfect sanctuaries for city explorers. With a strong sense of design, plenty of extras (like free WiFi and Nespresso units), our rooms are fully loaded with what you need – and there’s definitely something for every travel budget
The Burrard Motor Inn first opened its doors in 1956 – in the grand era of automobile culture – and revved up its own West Coast take on colourful mid-century cool. Over the next few decades, the hotel expanded its offering for travellers, adding a lush garden courtyard and a wood-paneled cocktail bar, where well-heeled guests sipped sidecars and well-made Manhattans.
Six decades later, the Burrard Hotel is cooler than ever. A major renovation a few years back refreshed the lobby, rooms and amenities, adding a contemporary edge to the hotel’s retro style. Today, the Burrard is a modern boutique hotel with a character all its own. And with perfect coffee and snacks from Elysian Coffee just downstairs, and big-city comfort food from Burgoo on the way soon, the experience is getting better all the time.
