BC’s Current Travel Restrictions – Regional Travel Now Allowed!
Wendy Underwood
The Government of British Columbia has released a plan for reopening our province, starting from May 25. While non-essential travel is still not allowed outside of your own “regional zone,” the good news is that non-essential travel (AKA vacations!) within your regional zone is allowed! That includes weekend getaways, city stay and romantic staycations. If you’re within the Vancouver Coastal Health or Fraser Health, we would love to see you!
Not sure which travel zone you’re in? Check this map. You can read more about travel restrictions on the BC Government’s website here. Travel for essential reasons, such as for work or attending medical appointments, is still allowed under the new plan. You can find a full list of permissible reasons for travel here.
If you have an upcoming reservation with us over this time and will be travelling to us from outside of the Vancouver Coastal Health / Fraser Health regional zone for reasons considered “non-essential”, then we encourage you to reschedule your stay with us for a later date without penalty. And then, when it’s safe to do so, we look forward to welcoming you to Vancouver for a stay at The Burrard.
It’s been a tough year, but we know that we’ll get through this and be able to enjoy our summer if we all work together.
