Upcoming Event: Circle Craft Christmas Market, November 6 – 10, 2024
Wendy Underwood
You might be thinking that the first week of November is entirely too early for anything to do with the holidays, but the Circle Craft Christmas Market is a Vancouver tradition. The market, this year open from Wednesday, November 6 through Sunday, November 10 in the Vancouver Convention Centre West building, is a hub for British Columbian artisans and makers to offer their handcrafted goods, ready to fill Christmas stockings.
Celebrating its 50th year, Circle Craft Christmas Market will welcome around 300 artisans—among them jewellers, knitters, potters, preservers, sewers, soap-makers, woodworkers and more. Check out Billy Would Designs for jewellery and homewares made out of recycled skateboard decks, sustainable salon-quality hair care from Jack 59, and hilarious Asian-inspired illustrations from I’ll Know It When I See It. The full list of 2024 can be found on the Circle Craft website.
Along with plenty of stalls to browse, there are musical performances and artisan demonstrations. If you’re not able to make it to the market this year, you can still visit Circle Craft’s permanent location down on Granville Island, perfect for year-round souvenir hunting!
