1059 Alberni Street – Downtown, 604.608.6870
Distance: 10-minute walk
A combination of café, patisserie and chocolaterie, it seems to always be the right place for something sweet – morning, noon or to finish off the evening! The coffee game here is strong, which just makes that macaron, millefeuille or crème brûlée even better. There’s also a second location in Mount Pleasant.

1144 Mainland Street – Yaletown, 778.379.2833
Distance: 10-minute walk
Pick your flavour from options like mojito, avocado and rose pistachio, and watch while the staff make your ice cream to order using retro stand mixers and liquid nitrogen! Not just a cool party trick, the process makes the ice cream silky-smooth. Also find them on Robson Street and in Kitsilano.

1752 Davie Street – West End 604.596.1010
Distance: 15-minute walk
This place has won awards from the Italians for its gelato! The very best in the city, there’s a good choice of flavours that get swapped out through the seasons. There’s pretty much always a line, but take it from us, it’s worth it. There’s also another location on Robson Street.

602 Dunsmuir Street – Downtown, 604.732.4888
Distance: 20-minute walk
With croissants that will make a Parisian cry (in a good way), Beaucoup has made a name for itself with its flaky, buttery baked goods. But don’t overlook the sweet treats and desserts. Whether you’re peanut butter sandwich cookie kinda person, or a sucker for a slice of whiskey chocolate cake, this is a great place to stop for a treat.

4150 Main Street – Mount Pleasant, 604.620.7701
Distance: 15-minute drive
YUM is all about throwing expectations out the window. House-made soft serve and traditional-style ice cream is turned into floats, sundaes, or milkshakes! Over 200 types of candy from around the world are available for purchase. You can also now find a second location in Kitsilano.
