Things to Do in Vancouver – April 2026
Wendy Underwood
It might be time to pack away the winter parka, but don’t hang up your umbrella just yet. While those classic “April showers” are sure to make an appearance in Vancouver, you can also look forward to sunny strolls, cycling along the seawall, and relaxing on patios. Cherry blossoms line the streets of Vancouver, and there’s no shortage of arts and culture events to keep you busy, rain or shine. Here are some of our favourite things to do in Vancouver this April.

Easter in Vancouver
April 3 – 5
Whether you’re a devout Christian, or just a secular lover of chocolate and cute bunnies, if you’re visiting Vancouver over the Easter long weekend, you’ll find plenty to do. The Burrard’s downtown location means it’s close to services including those at the recently restored St. Andrews-Wesley United Church, and Christ Church Cathedral. If you want to work off some of that chocolate, check out the Big Easter Run at Jericho Beach on April 19 – the self-described “hoppiest run of the year”. If you have kids, you might want to venture out into the suburbs for farm-based fun such as Easterfest at Taves Family Farms (with optional egg hunt) and Baby Animal Easter Days at Maan Farms, both of which are in Abbotsford.

Vancouver Canadians Baseball at Nat Bailey Stadium
Home games start April 7
Starting the season in early April, Vancouver Canadians baseball games at “the Nat” are a quintessential spring/summer experience here in the city. With the bases loaded, local craft beer flowing, and the hot dogs sizzling… it’s time to play ball! The Canadians are the High-A affiliate of the Toronto Blue Jays, and they’re riding high on the Jays run to the World Series last season. Expect to see two former Canadians, Addison Barger and Trey Yesavage, celebrated with their own bobbleheads. Start times of the games vary, with some “nooner” games, and others starting late in the day. But you can always bet on a race between sushi-costumed mascots (like we said, it’s a very Vancouver experience) and plenty of good cheer to go around.

All Elite Wrestling: Dynasty 2026
April 12
All Elite Wrestling is bringing its third ever Dynasty pay-per-view event to Vancouver for the first time this month, slamming down at Rogers Arena on April 12. This is the first time AEW has been in the city since 2024, so expect plenty of pent-up fans screaming for their favourites as they hit the mat: MJF, Kenny Omega, Jon Moxley, Will Osprey, and more. Refreshingly, this is a fully-accessible event with KutureCity on site with sensory bags for those who suffer from invisible disabilities, making sure everyone feels comfortable and welcome.

The Vegan Market
April 30, and through the summer
Canada’s first and only vegan night market is right here in Vancouver, situated down by the beach in West Point Grey. The April 30 event is the last of the “shoulder season” markets, with 30+ vegan vendors down at the HI Jericho Beach Hostel, before the events move to Locarno Beach for the summer months. You’ll find delicious cruelty-free bites and sips, along with vegan fashion, beauty brands and more.
