Upcoming Event: Vancouver International Wine Festival, March 7 – 14, 2026

Get ready to swirl, sniff and sip because the province’s biggest wine event is back! From March 7 through 14, the Vancouver International Wine Festival will showcase wines from 113 producers from 14 countries at 25 events open to the public. This year’s feature country is France, with a whopping 30 French wineries participating in the 2026 festival.
Not only is this British Columbia’s biggest wine event, it’s also one of the largest in North America, and—celebrating its 47th year—it’s also one of the oldest in the world. What makes VIWF different from many wine festivals is the overwhelming number of events that are open to the general public and not just industry buyers. The flagship events are the International Festival Tastings held on the Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights as well as a Saturday matinee session. All the wineries will be pouring four or five of their wines, and along with the individual tables, you’ll find regional tasting stations for Beaujolais, Bordeaux, California, and New Zealand. This year also features two wine bars: Bubbles ‘n’ Blush and Vive la France.
But these grand tastings aren’t the only way to sample what’s on offer. For those who want to take a deeper dive, there are library tastings, seminars and master classes. Take a more relaxed approach with mingler events like the Cruising California party or as on a pre-game happy hour to your International Festival Tasting on either the Friday or Saturday night. Or indulge in a sit-down wine dinner that brings together wines from your favourite region or producer with courses from some of Vancouver’s best restaurants including L’Abattoir, España and Provence Marinaside.
For a limited time, book your stay at The Burrard through StayVancouverHotels and up to two free International Festival Tasting tickets – worth up to $129 each.
